Your Newpany in downtown Edmonton, Alberta is seeking an experienced Residential Leasing Agent to join our team. You will manage leasing from inquiry to move-in, support occupancy goals, and collaborate with property management and maintenance staff to deliver outstanding resident experiences.

Responsibilities include leasing suites, processing applications, and maintaining records while creating effective online advertisements.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential leasing or multi-residential property management.
• Experience conducting suite showings and working with prospective tenants.
• Strong sales, relationship-building, and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with rental applications and tenant screening is an asset.
• Experience with Yardi or another property management system is an asset.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Respond to prospective tenant inquiries and conduct showings of available residential suites.
• Build relationships with prospective tenants and use strong sales and closing skills to support occupancy targets.
• Screen rental applicants and complete reference, employment, homeowner, and credit checks.
• Prepare leasing documentation, collect deposits, and coordinate applications for approval.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing inquiries, traffic, showings, applications, and rentals.
• Enter and maintain leasing information in property management systems (including Yardi).
• Create and maintain online rental advertisements and ensure property information is up to date.
• Monitor the local rental market and provide insights into competing properties and pricing.
