Qualifications

• Experience in residential leasing or multi-residential property management.

• Experience with Yardi or another property management system is an asset.

Our client is a well-established organization within the Canadian real estate industry seeking an experienced Residential Leasing Agent to join their team in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting a multi-residential property.

Your New Role

As the Residential Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for leasing available residential suites, supporting occupancy goals, and providing an excellent experience to prospective and existing tenants. You will manage the leasing process from initial inquiry and suite showing through application processing and move-in, while also supporting marketing, reporting, and tenant relations.

What You Need to Do

• Respond to prospective tenant inquiries and conduct showings of available residential suites.
• Build relationships with prospective tenants and use strong sales and closing skills to support occupancy targets.
• Screen rental applicants andplete reference, employment, homeowner, and credit checks.
• Prepare leasing documentation, collect required deposits, and coordinate applications for approval.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing inquiries, traffic, suite showings, applications, and rentals.
• Enter and maintain leasing information within property management systems, including Yardi.
• Create and maintain online rental advertisements and ensure property information is accurate and up to date.
• Monitor the local rental market and provide insight intopeting properties, pricing, and market activity.
• Ensure vacant suites are clean, staged, and market-ready prior to prospective tenant showings.
• Coordinate tenant move-ins, wee packages, building information, and related documentation.
• Work closely with property management, maintenance, and building staff to address tenant and property needs.
• Provide professional and responsive service to prospective and existing residents.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within residential leasing, multi-residential property management, or a similar environment.
• Previous experience conducting suite showings and working directly with prospective tenants.
• Strong sales, relationship-building, and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with rental applications, leasing documentation, and tenant screening is an asset.
• Previous experience with Yardi or another property management system is an asset.
• Good proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and judgment.
• High school diploma required. Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Real Estate, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Ability tomute to downtown Edmonton and work onsite.
