Job summary

Good Shepherd Centres in Ontario is hiring for housing support roles at Mary’s Place, with shifts including Sundays and Mondays across days, afternoons and overnights. You will extend our mission by providing housing support services, including case management, crisis intervention and counseling in a residential shelter setting.

You will build and maintain a caseload, conduct intakes and assessments, and coordinate evaluations of residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field is required.
• Knowledge of issues affecting cis women, trans and non-binary individuals including violence, abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty and substance use.
• Experience working in a residential setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a caseload.
• Complete an intake and assessment on each resident.
• Design, implement an interview schedule that evaluates quality of life improvements for program participants.
• Maintain confidentiality with regards to clients and Centre records.
• Observe health and safety rules and comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act provisions.
