Finning Canada, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a dedicated Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic based in the Medicine Hat area. You will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on CAT equipment, interacting with customers and Finning teams to ensure high-quality service.

Must hold Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification and a valid driver’s license, with at least 5 years of CAT repair experience.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with Finning S-level courses is a plus.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of Caterpillar equipment, based in the Medicine Hat area.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
• Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team.
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation and reports.
• Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent driver’s abstract
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses
• Self-motivated and computer literate
• Experience with Costwatcher, DBS, SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assets
• Successful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customer’s expectations
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment

Note:

• This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
• Shift work may be required in the future
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
• Hours and shift schedules that may be subject to change to meet Finning or customer requirements, and will be made in accordance with the Collective Agreement
• Please be advised, the successful candidate for thisposition will reside in the Medicine Hat area.
