Job summary

Finning Canada is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Lloydminster TCRS location. You will troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment and other machinery, using CAT SIS/ET daily and completing service documentation. Qualifications

• Interprovincial HET Certification is required.
• Journeyperson status or near completion (3rd/4th year HET) may be considered.
• Valid driver’s license and clean abstract essential.
• Safety-conscious team player with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment and other mechanical gear (Genie, JIg, Sullair, etc).
• Assist with a variety of shop repairs and diagnostics as required.
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
• Complete service reports, warranty and crossover notes.

Job Description:

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment along with other mechanical equipment (Genie, JIg, Sullair, etc)
• Assist with a variety of shop repairs and diagnostics as required
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• 3rd and 4th year HET apprentices may be considered based on skills
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Drivers license and drivers abstract required

Note:

• This position is located at our Lloydminster branch, on a Monday – Friday (5x2) schedule
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
