Job summary

Cardinal Creek Residence in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership and coordinate nursing care, ensuring a person- and family-centered approach for residents. The RN reports to the Nurse Manager and supports safe, high-quality care with interdisciplinary collaboration.

This role adheres to FLTCA, Ontario Regulation 246/22, CNO standards, and home policies, coordinating with teams to uphold dignity, consent, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current General Class registration with CNO as RN in Ontario.
• Demonstrated ability to practice per CNO standards and guidelines.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to maintain professional accountability and pursue IPAC practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and update care plans with input from residents/SDMs.
• Complete clinical documentation and assessments (including interRAI) and support care conferences.
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacy, and families to ensure timely follow-up.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and CNO accounts.
• Model IPAC practices and protect resident information under PHIPA.
