Job summary

Orchard Terrace Care Centre in Hagersville, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee resident-focused delivery of care under the Director of Care. The RN will promote the Home’s values and ensure high-quality nursing care for residents.

The role requires current nursing licensure in Ontario, CPR basics, and strong teamwork and communication skills, with experience in long-term care considered an asset. This is a full-time on-site position with a competitive wage.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Practical Nurse.
• Basic CPR.
• Experience in long term care setting an asset.
• Ability to work with and relate to interdisciplinary team members.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of RAI-MDS – AIS certified, if not must be completed within one year of being hired.
• Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, TB test results within 6 months, provide three supervisory references.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of resident-focused delivery of care.
• Provide direct supervision, leadership, and education to health care team members.
• Promote values, goals, and philosophy of the Home.
• Develop and modify care plans in response to residents’ changes in status.
• Liaise with other health care personnel, agencies, families, and PSWs.
• Supervise unit activities and evaluate performance of PSWs.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and standards.
