Job summary

COGIR Real Estate is hiring a Part-time Resident Care Attendant for Manoir Les Générations in Rimouski, QC. The role offers a path to full-time status and involves days and evenings with one weekend every two weeks. You will help with comfort, safety, hygiene, and daily needs of residents.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, patient, reliable, and a strong team player, capable of coordinating with on-call nurses and other teams to support residents’ well-being.

• PDSB training is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication following safety principles and codes of ethics.
• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around.
• Report noticeable changes in residents' health to the on-call nurse.
• Contribute to adjustment of residents' action plans based on observations.
• Proactively assist and support residents.
• Adhere to standards and regulations in private seniors' home certification and policies.
• Provide health and hygienic care while maintaining dignity and integrity.
• Answer call bells and respond to emergencies.

Purpose of the position

Manoir Les Générations, a welcoming private seniors' residence in Rimouski, has a part-time Resident Care Attendant position available, with the possibility of becoming full-time! Working in a retirement residence is more than just a job; it's a life experience. This is an opportunity to be recognized and valued, to participate in the continuous improvement of our service, and to make a significant difference in the daily lives of seniors!We are currently seeking an empathetic and caring Resident Care Attendant.Schedule: Variable, days and evenings, one weekend out of two.The Resident Care Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care.

Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :

• Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• Proactively assist and support the residents
• Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
• In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
• Answering call bells
• Respond to all emergency situations
