Job description

Research Analyst

Participates in complex research and evaluation projects to support the College’s Research Office. Leverages advanced qualitative and/or quantitative research skills to provide valuable insight into the regulation of nursing in the province.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the work of research officers in research and evaluation including performing literature reviews, designing tools and instruments, collecting data, conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, and writing results.
  • Coordinates research requests and supports relationships with system partners.
  • Provides administrative support for research and evaluation activities (e.g. submitting abstracts, preparing research ethics board applications, coordinating webinars, tracks requests)
  • Supports the development of reports, papers, and presentations to disseminate research findings to a broad audience internally and externally.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or social science field (e.g. Health Policy, Psychology, Economics) or a highly quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science)
  • Minimum 1 year work experience conducting research and/or evaluation; performing quantitative data analysis using statistical software (e.g. R, Python, SPSS, SAS) and/or qualitative data analysis (e.g. NVivo).

  • Data Analysis – collaborates with teams to obtain a deep understanding of research needs; conducts advanced statistical techniques to analyze data and interpret results.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting – creates clear and compelling visualizations and comprehensive reports using a variety of advanced data tools; uses a variety of advanced data tools that highlight key points, show trends and patterns; reports findings that are relevant and meaningful.

Hiring Range: $106,371 - $113,036

Full Salary Range: $106,371 - $127,645
