The Analyst, Supply Chain and Master Data, makes weekly purchase decisions exceeding $2 million.

Accountabilities:
  1. Data Entry:
    • Set up and maintain data related to vendors, new and existing products, costs, prices, and promotional activities using provided tools and procedures.
    • Review data entry requests for accuracy, reasonableness, and potential conflicts.
    • Investigate errors to identify root causes before completing data entry requests.
    • Work with multiple systems to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
    • Communicate with category managers and suppliers via phone, email, and in-person to resolve issues promptly.
    • Forecast and replenish warehouse, cross-dock, and booked items to meet chain-wide consumption needs, maintaining optimal inventory levels by managing order cycles, vendor minimums, lead times, shelf life, and logistics.
    • Revise forecasts based on abnormalities and execute purchase orders accordingly.
    • Review inventory and initiate transfers as needed.
    • Order promotional items based on past sales, market factors, and current promotions.
    • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely receipt of orders.
    • Investigate vendor service and pricing issues and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
  2. Cost Optimization:
    • Manage deals and forward buys to maximize benefits.
  3. Management of Product Aging:
    • Negotiate deals with vendors to deplete excess stock.
  4. Reporting:
    • Maintain logs of issues for visibility and report on KPIs.
  5. Customer Service:
    • Respond to store, vendor, and internal requests promptly.
    • Support supply chain projects and tasks as assigned.
  6. Health and Safety:
    • Promote and adhere to safety policies and practices.
    • Model safe work behaviors and address safety concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of grocery retail, including seasonality, consumer behavior, and product mix.
  • Prior experience in problem analysis and resolution.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in forecasting and replenishment.
  • 2 years’ experience with an ERP system.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail when handling large data volumes.
