At BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. (BWXT NEC), we are committed to excellence in every business initiative. With nearly 500 workers across locations in Peterborough, Toronto, and Arnprior, BWXT NEC supplies nuclear fuel and fuel channel components, services, equipment, and parts for the CANDU nuclear power industry.

Repair and Clean

We are currently seeking a Repair and Clean Person to support our Peterborough team.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean and maintain the facility using various manual and power equipment.
2. Perform minor preventative maintenance.
3. Manage the storage and cleaning of waste and hazardous materials used in manufacturing.
4. Work within a team environment to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation.
5. Use ladders and other equipment at various heights to replace filters from the dust collection system.
6. Conduct thorough cleaning of large vacuum ovens.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 Technical diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class G driver’s license.
• Possession or ability to obtain forklift operator license and Level 1 crane operator license (>15 tons).
• Possession or ability to obtain Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Selected applicants will be tested and interviewed.

The starting hourly wage in Ontario is expected to be between $30.91 and $34.34. The final salary will depend on market conditions and the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation may include additional elements such as annual incentives and comprehensive benefits. Details will be provided upon offer.
