Job summary

The Driving Force Group of Companies is seeking a Rental Consultant for our Driving Force Fleet Solutions team in Mississauga. You will greet customers, manage reservations, quotes, rental agreements, payments and documentation with a customer-first approach.

You will conduct vehicle inspections, maintain communication about terms, and ensure vehicles are ready for delivery. A valid driver’s license and strong organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience in automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail; able to multitask.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and handle calls, emails, and queries professionally.
• Manage reservations, generate quotes for short-term rentals, finalize rental agreements, process payments and paperwork.
• Keep customers informed about rental terms and obtain signatures on documents.
• Conduct vehicle walk-around inspections with customers and obtain signatures.
• Check drop box daily, process returns, assess vehicle condition and recommend maintenance if needed.
• Prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles.

We are currently looking for aRental Consultant to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in ourMississauga location.

What You’ll Do:

• Warmly greets customers and handles phone calls, emails, and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the rental process, from managing reservations, generating quotes for short-term rentals, finalizing rental agreements, processing payments, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, ensuring they are well-informed about rental terms and conditions before requesting signatures on all relevant documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers, obtaining their authorization via signature.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, processing rental returns, evaluating vehicle’s condition upon return, and offering recommendations for necessary maintenance if repairs are deemed necessary.
• Ensure vehicle availability and prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles as needed.

What You Bring:

• 1 year's retail customer-service experience is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and you know your way around Microsoft Office.
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
• Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.
• Clear pre-employment security clearance.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
