Driving Force Group of Companies in Fort St. John is seeking a Rental Consultant to join our rentals team. You will greet customers, manage reservations, prepare quotes, finalize rental agreements, process payments, and ensure clear communication on terms before signatures.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and multitasking, plus a valid Class 5 Driver’s License. We offer competitive wages, benefits, RRSP matching, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience in automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Very organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and handle calls, emails, and queries professionally.
• Manage reservations, quotes for short-term rentals, agreements, payments, and paperwork.
• Keep customers informed about rental terms and obtain signatures on documents.
• Conduct walk-around inspections with customers and obtain signatures.
• Perform daily drop box checks, process returns, assess vehicle condition, and recommend maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling as needed.

We are currently looking for aRental Consultant to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in our Fort St. John location.

What You’ll Do:

• Warmly greets customers and handles phone calls, emails, and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the rental process, from managing reservations, generating quotes for short-term rentals, finalizing rental agreements, processing payments, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, ensuring they are well-informed about rental terms and conditions before requesting signatures on all relevant documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers, obtaining their authorization via signature.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, processing rental returns, evaluating vehicle’s condition upon return, and offering recommendations for necessary maintenance if repairs are deemed necessary.
• Ensure vehicle availability and prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles as needed.

What You Bring:

• 1 year's retail customer-service experience is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and you know your way around Microsoft Office.
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
• Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.
• Clear pre-employment security clearance.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
