Job summary

Driving Force Group of Companies is seeking a Part-Time Rental Consultant for our Terrace location. You will warmly greet customers, manage reservations and paperwork, and ensure a smooth rental experience from start to finish.

The role requires strong customer-service skills, experience in or knowledge of the automotive/rental industry, and excellent organization. A valid Class 5 license is preferred, with benefits and growth opportunities offered by the company.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail customer-service experience.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and handle phone calls, emails, and queries professionally.
• Manage reservations, generate quotes for short-term rentals, finalize rental agreements, process payments, and complete paperwork.
• Keep customers informed about rental terms and needed signatures on documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers and obtain signatures.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, process returns, assess vehicle condition, and recommend maintenance if needed.
• Prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling as required.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Rental Consultant to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in our Terrace location.

What You’ll Do:

• Warmly greets customers and handles phone calls, emails, and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the rental process, from managing reservations, generating quotes for short-term rentals, finalizing rental agreements, processing payments, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, ensuring they are well-informed about rental terms and conditions before requesting signatures on all relevant documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers, obtaining their authorization via signature.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, processing rental returns, evaluating vehicle’s condition upon return, and offering recommendations for necessary maintenance if repairs are deemed necessary.
• Ensure vehicle availability and prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles as needed.

What You Bring:

• 1 year's retail customer-service experience is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and you know your way around Microsoft Office.
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
• Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.
• Clear pre-employment security clearance.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
