Job summary

Westcorp is seeking a Suite Renovation Team Lead with deep carpentry experience to lead a crew on residential suite renovations. The role combines hands-on construction work with daily direction of renovation staff, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.

You will perform demolition, framing, finishing carpentry, and minor related tasks while coordinating with the Sr. Regional Property Manager. A strong safety mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional carpentry experience.
• Journeyman carpentry ticket is an asset.
• Residential framing and finishing, including installation of doors and frames.
• Drywall installation, taping, and mudding.
• Strong communications skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the renovation team in all aspects of suite renovations, including demolition, framing, doors and frames, hardware, closets, tile work, and finishing carpentry.
• Work hands-on in all renovation activities while providing day-to-day direction to renovation staff.
• Perform general interior repairs within buildings and support other Edmonton properties as needed.
• Monitor contractor attendance and relay on-site performance concerns to Sr. Regional Property Manager.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout renovation sites.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Regional Property Manager and renovation team to meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Ensure compliance with Westcorp policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

The Team Lead works directly alongside the renovation team every day and is fully involved in hands-on construction work.

This position provides light,on-siteoversight of contractors, including notingno-showsandidentifyingworkmanship concerns, with any issues communicated to the Sr. Regional Property Manager. Responsibility for scheduling, coordination, and overall contractor managementremainswith the management team.

This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys taking the lead whileremainingfully engaged in the physical work of suite renovations.

Primary Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the renovation team in all aspects of suite renovations, including, but not limited to,demolition, preparation, disposal, framing, rough carpentry,building,installation of doorsand door frames, hardware, closets, and shelving,lights and other minor electrical work, tile work, shower enclosures, installation of appliances,and all finishing carpentry work.

• Work hands-oninall renovation activities while providing day-to-daydirection and support to renovation staff.

• Perform general interior repairs within the buildings, and occasionallyatour other Edmontonproperties when required,to support ongoing operational needs.

• Monitor contractor attendance and basic on-site performance concerns and relay issues to the Sr.Regional Property Manager.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout renovation sites.

• Collaborate effectively with the Sr.Regional Property Manager and renovation team to achieve qualityworkand timeline expectations.

• Ensure comprehension and adherence to allWestcorppolicies, procedures, and Playbook standards.

• Ensure all work is performed safely, professionally, and in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr.Regional Property Manager.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum five years of professional carpentry experience. Journeyman carpentry ticketan asset.

• Demonstratedexpertisein:
