Job summary

A Few Good Lads is seeking an experienced All-Round Renovations Carpenter to work on residential renovation projects across Vancouver and surrounding areas. The role focuses on general carpentry with emphasis on framing, siding, and window installation.

Ideal candidates have strong layout skills, can read plans, and work well independently yet as part of a team. Competitive hourly pay ranges from CAD 34 to CAD 40, with safety training and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a carpenter in residential renovations
  • Fall Protection Certificate
  • Strong experience with framing, siding, and window installation
  • Ability to read and understand plans and drawings
  • Strong measuring and layout skills
  • Comfortable using common carpentry hand and power tools
  • Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the role
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety

Responsibilities

  • Complete general carpentry work on residential renovation projects
  • Perform framing for walls, additions, roofs and other structures
  • Install siding and exterior finishing materials
  • Install and replace windows and related components
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Measure, cut, and install materials accurately
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Assist with demolition and preparation work as required
  • Complete repairs, finishing, and general renovation tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work safely and follow site safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, trades, and other crew members
  • Perform other carpentry and renovation duties as required

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced All-Round Renovations Carpenter to join our team and work on residential renovation projects throughout Vancouver and the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general carpentry and be comfortable working on different stages of a renovation. Experience with framing, siding, and window installation is required.

This is a great opportunity for a carpenter who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and can work independently while also being part of a team.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of carpentry experience
  • Experience working on full residential renovations
  • Experience with exterior finishing
  • Construction safety tickets are an asset
  • Valid driver's licence is an asset
