Boralex Inc. is seeking a Land Acquisition Specialist to support renewable energy projects in Canada. You will build relationships with landowners, develop acquisition strategies, and manage title work and due diligence.

You will collaborate with legal, development, and engineering teams, travel up to 50%, and contribute to permitting, financing, and project operations while ensuring accurate records and timely payments.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of renewable energy real estate experience.
• Working knowledge of Ontario real estate practices, land records, title review.
• Experience supporting renewable energy projects through financing, construction, and operations.
• Understanding of real estate processes for utility-scale solar, storage, and wind projects.
• Highly organized with strong document management skills.
• Ability to read and analyze heavily worded legal documentation.
• Ability to interpret key terms in real estate agreements including Easements and Purchase Agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to represent the company externally.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% and occasional cross-border travel.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain relationships with landowners across all project phases.
• Develop land acquisition strategies, including compensation structures and schedules.
• Assist with landowner outreach and communications drafting.
• Conduct property research, title work, and curative item tracking.
• Maintain accurate records of land acquisition activities in internal systems.
• Collaborate with legal teams to prepare/review documents.
• Identify and mitigate land-related risks affecting feasibility, permitting, or operations.
• Review title commitments with title insurers and legal teams.
• Liaise with surveyor to prepare project survey and review with teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely payments under land agreements.
• Facilitate site plan preparation, review and modification.
• Calculate landowner payments related to infrastructure and land use.
• Notify landowners of work or studies.
• Represent Boralex at stakeholder events and community meetings.
• Resolve conflicts with landowners promptly.
• Prepare deviation matrices for agreement compliance.
• Communicate timelines with development, construction and operations.
• Work with Real Estate team to improve templates and processes.
• Additional administrative or project support tasks as required.
