Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a hands-on mid‑engineering role within Information Security to build and maintain backend services powering registration, login, authorization, and account lifecycle across B2C and B2B experiences.

You will work with experienced engineers and partner teams to deliver scoped identity features with strong security fundamentals, reliability, and operational rigor.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to write, test, and debug software in Python or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with backend APIs, data structures, databases, and version control.
• Interest in authentication and secure, reliable customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing authentication features, including MFA and device binding.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Kotlin from product requirements.
• Integrate identity tech such as Okta, Auth0, and ForgeRock with apps.
• Collaborate across engineering and product, participate in code reviews and deployments.
