Parkinson Canada seeks a Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide independent employee relations guidance, lead recruitment and accommodation work, and deliver people programs for a national remote workforce of about 69 employees across provinces, including Quebec.

The role requires handling HR matters with minimal escalation, applying employment standards, privacy, and human rights across jurisdictions, and advancing equity and inclusion in a not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in human resources.
• Six to eight years of progressive HR experience, including independent employee relations.
• Knowledge of employment standards, human rights, and privacy across Canada; Quebec familiarity is an asset.
• Comfort working without established systems and sound judgement on documentation.
• Experience in small or mid-sized organizations with limited HR support.
• Written and spoken French is an asset; not-for-profit experience is an asset.

Responsabilités

• First-line advisor to leaders on performance, attendance, conduct, accommodation, and conflict within policy and legislation.
• Conduct workplace investigations, document findings, and recommend outcomes.
• Manage performance reviews and employee transitions including departures.
• Interpret multi-jurisdiction employment standards and privacy requirements.
• Oversee recruitment from intake to offer, with outsourced support when needed.
• Support compensation cycles and HR programs across a national remote workforce.
