Job summary
Placements24 seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to join a client team focused on power generation equipment. This is a fully remote role with extensive travel to customer sites, serving as the technical expert for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of gas and steam turbines, generators, and control systems.
You will work from a remote base, traveling up to 70% of the time to client sites worldwide while supporting operations remotely when not traveling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of field service experience with power generation equipment.
- Strong understanding of turbine technology, generators, and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair power generation equipment on customer sites.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical guidance to customers and optimize equipment performance.
- Conduct performance testing and analysis for efficiency improvements.
- Prepare detailed service reports and manage spare parts inventory.
