Russel Metals Inc. is seeking an Occupational Return to Work Specialist to support occupational injury and illness claims within the Corporate Health & Safety function.

The role blends administrative and case-management skills with health sciences knowledge to support effective claims management and return-to-work processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with managers, supervisors, workers, and our third-party provider, coordinating claims, reviewing medical information, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Nursing (RN/LPN), Health Sciences, Biomechanics, Occupational Health, Disability Management, Kinesiology or related field preferred.
• Experience in occupational claims, disability management or workers' compensation is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate claims with third-party disability management and internal systems.
• Review medical and functional information and identify follow-up needs.
• Ensure branches provide complete incident and return-to-work documentation.
• Develop modified work and return-to-work plans based on functional restrictions.
• Monitor claims and communicate with workers, managers and providers.
• Maintain confidential, well-organized claim records.
