Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Proposal Writer for a remote, 15-month contract ending April 2028. You will partner with the Proposal Development, Marketing, and National Accounts teams to craft, maintain, and optimize bid responses across locations and departments.

The role focuses on building templates, gathering information from subject matter experts, and ensuring proposals meet client requirements, quality standards, and company protocols while supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical writing experience, ideally in municipal RFPs/RFIs.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Experience in Solid Waste Management or Recycling is a plus.
• Strong understanding of public procurement processes.
• Excellent project management: priorities, schedules, multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage proposal templates and reusable content with proposal/marketing teams.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and subject matter experts for proposals.
• Revise proposals based on stakeholder feedback and keep content updated.
• Provide admin support for proposals, letters, reports, and related docs.
• Back up proposal coordinators during peaks or vacations.
• Track submitted proposals and update RFP status files.
• Deepen knowledge of GFL’s services and client needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
