Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Canadian-based client to recruit a part-time remote Bookkeeping Specialist. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, including AR/AP, reconciliations, payroll, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely closures.

The role emphasizes strong accounting fundamentals, client communication, and proactive problem-solving within a collaborative, remote team focused on continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of professional bookkeeping experience across multiple clients.
• Experience with Canadian and U.S. bookkeeping practices, including inventory accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and cash vs accrual accounting.
• Experience with multiple bookkeeping platforms including QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
• Ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including AR/AP, reconciliations, payroll, and journals.
• Maintain accurate records and meet month-end deadlines.
• Prepare financial statements and cash-flow reporting.
• Explain financial information to clients and answer questions.
• Identify efficiency improvements in month-end and year-end processes.
