Byrnu inc. is seeking a part-time Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a growing technology company in Canada.

The role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized individual who can work effectively in a remote environment. You will handle bookkeeping entries, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and assist with monthly statements, collaborating with the external accountant for year-end.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Attention to detail, rigor, and strong organizational skills.
• Fluency in French (required) and functional English.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping entries and transaction tracking
• Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Prepare government remittances (GST/QST, payroll deductions)
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements
• Organize and archive accounting documents
• Collaborate with the external accountant for year-end and audits

Skills
