Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Medical Tele-Interviewer to conduct in-depth interviews for underwriting, focusing on lifestyle and medical information for individuals applying for Life and Critical Illness insurance.

This remote role offers flexible shifts Monday–Friday, 9am–8pm local time, across Canada. Strong English and French skills are an asset, with independence and excellent communication essential to success.

Qualifications

• Medical knowledge, terminology, or experience is required.
• Experience working with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment while under time constraints.
• Excellent spelling and grammar are a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience providing outstanding customer service.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth interviews encompassing lifestyle and medical questions, to facilitate the underwriting process for clients who have applied for individual insurance (i.e.: Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance).
• Utilizes excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to probe tactfully when eliciting personal and medical information.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and active listening skills.
• Manages workload efficiently with the use of excellent organization and timemanagement skills.
• Respects the confidentiality of sensitive and private information.
• Addresses customers’ concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner
