Job summary

Equilibrium is seeking a Junior Groundwater Modeller to join its Hydrogeology team in Canada. The role offers hands-on groundwater modelling, data analysis, and field experience within mining and engineering projects.

You'll work with experienced hydrogeologists, develop conceptual and numerical models, and contribute to technical deliverables while growing your consulting skills and building practical solutions.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of relevant experience in hydrogeology or groundwater modelling.
• Exposure to conceptual and numerical groundwater modelling and interpretation of results.
• Familiarity with modelling platforms such as FEFLOW, MODFLOW, HydroGeoSphere or GoldSim.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools for hydrogeology.
• Programming or scripting in Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support groundwater modelling projects through data analysis, field programs and deliverables.
• Participate in geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological field investigations and monitoring.
• Compile, manage, and visualize hydrogeological data for conceptual site models.
• Assist with development and refinement of groundwater models and interpretations.
• Apply GIS and visualization tools for project delivery and data analysis.
• Contribute to technical reports, figures and maps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve groundwater problems.
• Develop your technical and consulting skills in modelling and data interpretation.
