Job summary

Equilibrium Mining is seeking a Junior Hydrogeologist to join our growing Hydrogeology team in Vancouver. You will support hydrogeological and geotechnical projects through field programs, data analysis, and technical reporting, gaining hands-on field and consulting experience.

You will work with experienced hydrogeologists, contribute to groundwater investigations, monitoring, and modelling, and develop skills in Leapfrog, GIS, and data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geological or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in hydrogeology is an asset.
• Eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support hydrogeological and geotechnical projects through field programs, data analysis, technical deliverables, and project documentation.
• Assist field investigations including groundwater and surface water sampling, well installation, and monitoring.
• Coordinate drilling programs and field logistics, maintain field records and chain of custody.
• Compile, manage, and interpret groundwater, geological, and environmental data.
• Contribute to hydrogeological modelling and QA/QC of databases and datasets.
• Prepare maps, cross-sections, figures, and technical reports using GIS and Leapfrog.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address field challenges and deliver projects.
• Develop technical and consulting skills through hands-on experience.
