Job summary

Equilibrium is seeking a Junior Groundwater Modeller to support groundwater modelling and hydrogeology projects within our hydrogeology team. You will work with experienced professionals to apply hydrogeological principles, analyze data, and help deliver practical solutions across engineering and mining projects.

Responsibilities include data analysis, field investigations, model setup and calibration, and collaboration with engineers, geologists and project managers.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of relevant experience in hydrogeology or related fields.
• Exposure to conceptual and numerical groundwater modelling.
• Familiarity with modelling platforms (FEFLOW, MODFLOW, HydroGeoSphere or equivalents).
• Experience with data analysis/visualization tools (Surfer, Leapfrog, CAD).
• Some Python scripting and workflow automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support hydrogeological assessments and groundwater modelling projects.
• Participate in field investigations and monitoring programs.
• Compile, manage, analyze and visualize hydrogeological data.
• Assist development and refinement of groundwater models.
• Apply GIS, visualization and analytical tools for projects.
• Contribute to technical reports, figures and maps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve groundwater problems.
• Develop technical and consulting skills in modelling and data interpretation.
