Job summary

Integrated Sustainability is seeking a Groundwater Modeller to support multi-disciplinary projects delivering high quality, sustainable water solutions. You will develop conceptual hydrogeological models and apply 1D–3D groundwater flow models for environmental and mining projects, while building strong client relationships and preparing technical reports.

A minimum of 5+ years in hydrogeology, formal degrees in related fields, and English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in hydrogeology and groundwater modelling.
• Strong analytical skills interpreting and analyzing hydrogeological data sets.
• Undergraduate degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline. Graduate degree in hydrogeology or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Eligible for professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) and/or the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is an asset.
• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic work environment.

• Participate in model reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Analyze groundwater monitoring, pumping test, slug test, geological, and water quality datasets.
• Support field investigations and monitoring programs as required.
• Interpret hydrogeological conditions and communicate findings to project teams and clients.
• Contribute to groundwater-surface water interaction assessments.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience integrating groundwater modelling results into broader water management, water balance, or environmental assessment frameworks is considered an asset.
• Flexibility, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage change with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects with a proactive approach and a high level of attention to detail.
• Industry experience in mining, construction, and hydrogeology is an asset.
• Experience with FEFLOW, MODFLOW/Visual MODFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, GoldSim, PEST, and Leapfrog Works, or equivalent hydrogeological modelling software.
• Familiarity with Surfer, Python and R is an asset.
