Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote IT Network and Systems Administrator to manage and maintain its IT infrastructure. This fully remote role requires proactive individuals capable of overseeing servers, networks, and cloud services with strong security and uptime focus.

You will support end-users remotely, implement DR plans, and stay ahead of evolving technologies, contributing to a dynamic organization and benefiting from remote-first flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in IT network and systems administration.
• Proven expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or CISSP are highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain server infrastructure (physical and virtual), including operating systems and applications.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure optimal connectivity and security.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
• Provide remote technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including backups, disaster recovery plans, and endpoint protection.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the IT infrastructure.
