About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Remote Telecom Network Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of our client's telecommunications network against evolving cyber threats. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, detecting and responding to security incidents, and implementing proactive measures to enhance network defense. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the trust and security of our telecoms operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner, following established protocols.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), and VPNs.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and update security policies, procedures, and best practices for the telecoms environment.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques relevant to the telecoms industry.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network security, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
  • Proficiency with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence sources.
