Placements24 is seeking a talented Intellectual Property Lawyer to join our fully remote legal team. You will advise clients on patents, trademarks, and copyrights, draft IP-related agreements, and manage IP portfolios from anywhere in South Africa.

The role requires a minimum of six years in IP law and admission as an attorney in SA, with strong drafting and negotiation skills. This position offers remote flexibility, a competitive salary, and opportunities to work with diverse technology

Formación

Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with experience as a Patent Attorney being advantageous.
Minimum of 6 years of dedicated experience in Intellectual Property law.
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating IP-related contracts.
Strong understanding of IP registration processes and enforcement strategies.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide commercially astute advice.

Responsabilidades

Advise clients on IP law across patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Conduct IP searches and advise on registrability and conflicts.
Draft and negotiate IP licensing, assignment, and confidentiality agreements.
Manage registration and maintenance of IP rights nationally and internationally.
Represent clients in IP infringement disputes and opposition proceedings.
Provide strategic advice on IP portfolio management and commercialization.
