Job summary

ROBIC is seeking a Paralegal to join our Trademark team in Canada. You will operate with autonomy on files involving trademark strategy and prosecution, collaborating with respected IP lawyers and foreign associates. IP experience is an asset, but training is provided to help you develop your expertise.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma in Paralegal Technology (DEC).
• 1–2 years of paralegal experience.
• Excellent command of French and English, written and spoken.
• Law degree or certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file trademark registration applications in Canada and abroad.
• Analyze and comment on examination reports related to filings.
• Communicate with foreign associates and clients in French and English.
• Verify file status and prepare summary reports.
• Monitor trademark files and deadlines.
• Conduct legal research using traditional tools and online databases.
• Draft procedural documents for the Trademarks Office.
• Develop strategies for adoption, protection, and commercialization of trademarks.
• Perform other related tasks.
