Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Remote HR Policy Advisor to guide the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures for employees across South Africa. The role supports a distributed workforce with a strong emphasis on compliance, equity, and alignment with business objectives.

You will work with HR leadership and legal counsel to draft, review, and update policies, ensuring they are communicated effectively and applied consistently in remote and hybrid contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on policy development and implementation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of labour law and its practical application.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and revise HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
• Advise HR teams and management on the interpretation and application of HR policies.
• Conduct research on relevant employment laws and industry trends impacting policy development.
• Ensure policies are clearly documented, communicated, and accessible to all employees.
• Support the implementation of new HR initiatives through policy framework development.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with HR policies.
