Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking a Remote Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, to work at the Dome/Pamour Mine near Timmins, ON. You will travel in a Toromont Service truck to customer sites and provide skilled repairs to Caterpillar equipment.

This full-time, permanent role offers $51.46 to $53.40 per hour along with our total rewards package. The job is rotational and primarily on site, with growth and training opportunities across Eastern Canada.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a field related to heavy equipment such as diesel mechanics or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of heavy equipment both in shop and field.
• A valid Driver’s Licence (DZ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems on Caterpillar equipment using testing equipment and skilled judgment.
• Maintain quality workmanship while repairing Caterpillar equipment out in the field.
• Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on-site visits.
• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound work behaviours at all times.
• Support Toromont Cat team with on-site service and timely repairs.
