Job summary

Toromont Cat seeks Remote Site Technicians to diagnose, repair, and assemble Caterpillar mining and earthmoving equipment at mine sites across Eastern Canada. This full-time, permanent role offers exposure to premium Caterpillar equipment and a path for continuous learning through our internal training teams.

You will work in a safety-focused environment with a strong emphasis on customer relations and timely service documentation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in heavy equipment mechanics or heavy engine mechanics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technician in repair and service of heavy construction or mining equipment.
• Underground common core certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment.
• Repair and/or assemble allied or competitive Caterpillar earthmoving equipment within established timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare service reports and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain good customer relations and contribute to onsite mechanical staff.
