Job summary

Affirm, a remote-first company, is seeking a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer to lead technical partnerships with Shopify, Stripe, and other partners. You will guide solution design, manage long-term initiatives, and act as a bridge between Commercial and Product Partnership teams.

In this role, you will design project plans, respond to partner inquiries, and develop documentation for new products and features.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or similar customer-facing role
• Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages
• Experience with Ecommerce technologies and data models
• Experience with JSON, HTML, REST API, and Webhook technologies
• Familiarity with integrating UX elements with backend services, frameworks, and third-party APIs
• Experience with alerting and monitoring tools and applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong project management skills
• Passion to change consumer banking for the better
• Nice to have: experience with various Partner Types (Ecommerce Platforms, Payment Processors, Gateways, Wallets)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including solution design, timeline estimation, task breakdown, and testing plan
• Provide day-to-day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders
• Develop integration support material and documentation for new products, rollouts and features
• Serve as SME and escalation point for internal/external teams facing technical challenges
• Make recommendations on integration strategy, platform evolution, infrastructure, and tooling selection
• Explore the intersection between commercial strategy and technical partnership capabilities
• Contribute to external documentation to strengthen partnership experience
