Job summary

Domaine, the world's largest independent Shopify design and development partner, seeks an experienced backend Tech Lead. This client-facing role blends hands-on development with ownership over technical approaches and estimates, delivering production-ready code in an agency setting.

You will work with ERP, OMS, IMS, PIM, POS systems and common integration workstreams, evaluating when off-the-shelf vs custom solutions is appropriate.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with PHP/Laravel or JS/Node, PostgreSQL, and AWS is required.
• Comfort with command-line and Linux-based operating systems.
• React experience is not essential but nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reliable, secure integrations using PHP/Laravel or JS/Node. Optimize databases and queues; ensure solid CI/CD pipelines.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to clients and manage requirements, resources, timelines, and scope to protect project success.
• Mentor teammates, supervise output, and assist with grooming, assigning, and releasing work through collaborative problem-solving and code reviews.
