Job summary

Dexterra Group in Nunavut is seeking entry-level Construction Labourers to support the Lake Lodge remote site operations.

This contract role features 12-hour shifts, a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, and duties that include moving materials, site cleaning, and assisting skilled trades while maintaining safety.

No prior construction experience is required; dependability, safety mindset, and teamwork are essential for success in a remote northern environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates welcome; no prior construction experience required.
• Legal to work in Canada.
• Willingness to work a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule at a remote Nunavut site.
• Ability to perform physically demanding 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople with day-to-day construction activities.
• Load and unload materials and organize work areas.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free, and safe workspaces.
• Support site setup, mobilization, and demobilization.
• Perform snow and ice removal and basic site maintenance.
• Report safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
