Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a Sr. Sales Manager / Director of Sales for the utility-scale solar space anywhere in Canada.

You will drive new business, manage national accounts, and lead negotiations while coordinating with fulfillment to ensure timely delivery. The role requires 7+ years in solar sales/business development, deep market knowledge of US PV dynamics, and a proven track record in tendering and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a business development or sales role within the solar industry.
• Experience selling solar modules in the utility scale space in Canada.
• Deep understanding of U.S. PV market dynamics and industry trends.
• Extensive experience in tender preparation, contract review and negotiation, account management, and deal closure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in account management and development.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle conflict and ambiguity.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work remotely anywhere in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communication with accounts nationwide.
• Acquire new customers and drive business growth.
• Leverage a strong network across distribution, key accounts, or utility clients in the solar industry.
• Coordinate with the fulfillment team to ensure on-time delivery.
• Hold regular in-person meetings with customers, weekly or biweekly.
• Engage downstream customers through distribution partners to expand business relationships.
• Take part in co-marketing events to strengthen the company brand and build relationships.
• Provide regional forecasts covering build plans and shipment destinations.
• Produce reports against defined KPIs.
