Job summary

WSP is seeking a Solar PV Engineer to shape Canada’s renewable energy landscape. You will design and optimize utility-scale solar PV projects, collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines from development through construction and operations.

You’ll contribute to energy yield assessments, perform technical reviews, and leverage AutoCAD, GIS, and PV modelling tools. Ontario or Quebec offices are preferred, with flexible location options across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and eligible for P.Eng in Canada.
• 5–10 years of relevant solar energy or related engineering experience.
• P.Eng licensed or in final stages (within a year).
• Experience designing, optimizing, energy assessment, or technical reviews of solar PV projects.
• Understanding of utility-scale solar technologies and design-constructability-energy performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize utility-scale solar PV projects across Canada.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, constructible solutions.
• Develop solar layouts, equipment configurations, and design parameters.
• Support projects from feasibility through design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
