Job summary

Aramark is seeking an Assistant Camp Manager for the James Bay region to support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day camp operations. Responsibilities include coordinating guest services, reporting, commissary, food services, and facility maintenance in a remote environment.

You will lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional customer service, with a 2 weeks on-site / 2 weeks off rotation and fully covered travel to pickup points.

Qualifications

• At least three years of management experience, preferably in a remote camp or hospitality/tourism.
• At least three years of administrative experience (WHMIS or food safety certification is an asset).
• Proven leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Orissa, and QuickBooks.
• Impeccable driving record.
• Ability to work in a unionized environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at the site.
• Manage employees effectively through coaching and development.
• Ensure guests receive superior customer service.
• Establish budgets and forecasts and perform related financial tasks.
• Place orders for supplies and monitor inventory.
• Train employees and manage schedules for optimal service.
• Submit regular reports to client and Aramark.
• Maintain safety-first culture on site.
• Perform kitchen, food, commissary, and maintenance facility checks.
• Support HR with payroll for front-line staff.
