Aramark in Canada is seeking a Chef to lead remote camp kitchen operations in the Baie-James region. The role requires culinary leadership, menu planning, inventory management, and ensuring quality and safety standards while supporting a team across long rotations.

The position offers a 14/14 rotation, accommodation and meals provided during rotations, and transportation arranged by Aramark. 65,000–70,000 CAD per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role.
• Culinary education or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability and willingness to work in a remote camp environment on a rotational schedule.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support kitchen teams
• Ensure food preparation and meal quality meet Aramark standards
• Assist with menu planning and inventory management
• Monitor food costs and ensure budget complianceMaintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Train, mentor, and engage team members
• Collaborate with operations teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience
• Support special events and catering activities as required

Working Conditions

• 14 days on / 14 days off rotation schedule
• Accommodation and meals provided during each rotation
• Transportation arranged by Aramark
• Marshalling point from Saguenay/Bagotville or Rouyn-Noranda
• Fly-in remote camp environment in Radisson (Baie-James)
• Workdays may vary based on operational requirements and are typically 10 to 12 hours per day while on site
