Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers for a fully remote contract role to design, build, and optimize server-side systems powering AI products. Candidates will craft data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices capable of handling real-world traffic from anywhere in the world.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python/Go/Java/Node.js, with strong RESTful API and distributed systems knowledge, and experience with cloud platforms and containers.

Qualifications

• Backend proficiency in Python/Go/Java/Node.js/Rust.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work asynchronously across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust back end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture to support AI workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code with best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers and researchers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Work independently on task-based projects on your schedule.
