Job summary

Cohere is hiring a senior generalist for the North team to own and ship full-stack features end-to-end. You will move across backend and frontend as required, designing APIs, databases, and the frontend layers that surface the product.

You will collaborate with product, UX, and modeling teams to validate requirements, prototype quickly, and raise engineering standards with disciplined testing and reviews. Remote-friendly with global offices.

Qualifications

• Shipped large-scale fullstack code in production environments.
• Comfortable working across the stack and in fast-paced settings.
• Experience building and deploying high-performance client/server apps (RAG/agentic).
• Act like a product owner: assess necessity before implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, ship, and maintain features across the full stack for roadmap surfaces (file management, knowledge bases, agent framework, data sync).
• Own features end-to-end from design to launch and iteration.
• Write minimal code for low-resource environments with strict deployment controls.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and modeling teams to validate requirements and prototype quickly.
• Raise engineering standards through patterns, testing, code review, and mentoring.
• Use AI actively while ensuring quality and reliability of delivered work.
