Job summary

emergiTEL Inc. seeks a Functional Analyst to become the subject matter expert for the API Product, guiding end-to-end client journeys and translating business needs into precise user stories and technical specs.

You will coordinate with engineering, manage epics in JIRA, support pre-sales activities, onboard clients to API Product suites, and document API features using Swagger, Lucid and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Background in business, design, communications, or software engineering.
• Enthusiastic and curious about the user experience.
• Evidence of data-driven decision making.
• Bonus: 1-2 years experience in business or technical role.

Responsibilities

• Become SME in API Product by understanding end-to-end client journey.
• Conduct market research to support API Product in discovery phase.
• Draw data-driven insights to suggest product enhancements for better UX.
• Coordinate with engineering to translate business requirements into user stories and specs.
• Manage epics and user stories in JIRA reflecting roadmap and team effectiveness.
• Support Business Solutions and engineering teams in Pre-Sales meetings.
• Assist clients onboarding to API Product suites.
• Update Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Document API features and processes using Lucid and Confluence.
