Job summary

Kontron Canada is seeking an Accounting Technician to manage invoices, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will handle bank reconciliations in multiple currencies, process journal entries, and support month-end and year-end closings within the accounts payable function.

The role requires a college accounting diploma, 7+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, and fluent French with functional English. SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• College diploma in accounting or equivalent.
• Ideally more than 7 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Languages: French and functional English (communication with suppliers and Kontron group).
• SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Post vendor invoices.
• Reconcile all transactions related to subcontractors to ensure accuracy of inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable for products.
• Reconcile daily all bank accounts and ensure funds in each currency; prepare journal entries for reconciliations.
• Issue checks and wire transfers.
• Reconcile suppliers statements of account and respond to their requests.
• Prepare TPS and TVQ reports.
• Prepare month-end reports and year-end closing of accounts payable.
• Balance GR/IR account.
• Responsible for the fixed assets ledger and follow-up on capital budgets.
• Month-end analysis for material requisition and other analyses (e.g., freight expenses).
• Perform various reconciliations: petty cash, credit cards, and expense reports.
