Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Canada is seeking an Accounting Assistant with a primary Accounts Payable focus to support the accounting and purchasing cycles.

You will process AP transactions, liaise with vendors, ensure on-time payments and reconcile bank statements. The role offers a flexible schedule and comprehensive benefits as you contribute to a growing finance team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Canadian accounting experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable transactions.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues.

• Process bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Review invoices and reconcile against purchase orders and GL accounts.
• Process foreign currency transactions.
• Maintain GL accounts and ledgers.

Job description

We are looking to add an Accounting Assistant to our growing team. This role will have an Accounts Payable focus but will assist in other areas of the accounting and purchasing cycles.

Duties

• Processing of Accounts Payable transactions
• Communicating with vendors to resolve issues
• Ensure payments are made on time and collect early pay discounts
• Processing of bank and credit card reconciliations
• Reviewing statements and reconcile invoices and related purchase orders
• Processing foreign currency transactions
• Maintaining GL accounts and ledgers
• Assisting Controller and Assistant Controller as needed

• Min 3 years of Canadian business experience working in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems
