Job summary

On Side is seeking a Remediation Technician to perform asbestos and mould remediation while safeguarding workers and clients. The role includes ensuring a safe work area, removing contaminated materials, and cross-training into other areas. The position is based in Ontario with rotating after-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry skills to build containment
• Ability to perform work following procedure and legislation
• Clean shaven face (if applicable) for every shift (for full mask fit)
• Willingness to wear full PPE as required for duration of shift
• Cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work
• Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
• Physically fit— remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting (50+lbs)
• Comfortable in confined spaces
• Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
• Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken

Position Summary

When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on ‘your side’. Asbestos and mold can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.

• Salary Range: $24-$30/hour

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
