Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent experience in Disability Studies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• Knowledge in supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• A vehicle and valid driver's license is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Establish respectful and professional boundaries while developing positive working relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in the development and monitoring of goals and objectives per supervisory instruction.
• Support individuals in identified areas to live independently or increase independence in the community.
• Establish and maintain a positive professional relationship with client guardians and other supports.
• Check email at the beginning of every shift and complete client and agency paperwork (timesheets, expenses, hazard reports, incident reports).
• Participate in Health & Safety program and adhere to policies and procedures; maintain core training certifications.
